Welcome to the website of George Brooks, therapist, trainer & supervisor.

I am a BACP accredited professional counsellor, AAMET registered EFT advanced practitioner, a university counsellor trainer and a clinical supervisor working in Liverpool, Wirral and Manchester for over fifteen years.

I have worked successfully with hundreds of people of all ages, and from different backgrounds and I have a particular experience in working with adolescents & young adults.

My passion and my mission is to make a real difference to people's lives. To help people whose problems are causing them unhappiness or pain to live their lives to it's full potential.

The approach and techniques I use often gets results when nothing else works.

I can help you cope with difficult experiences you’ve been going through, such as a relationship breakdown, bereavement or redundancy, trauma, health issues, bullying and stress at work.

You may want help dealing with feelings of sadness, anger, anxiety or low confidence or you may be self-harming.

I can also help you overcome problems, such as depression or an eating disorder, even if you are already getting other kinds of help from a GP or psychiatrist. I can also help you come to terms with an ongoing physical problem, illness or disability.

The combination of techniques I offer can also help people to cope with physical symptoms like pain that doctors can’t alleviate. If your GP can’t find a physical cause for your pain, you may want to try EFT counselling with me to see whether there is a psychological side to your symptoms. This is more common than you think.

I feel it is important to provide you with choices so you can choose the most comfortable and convenient one for you.

2. I can see you in your own home or place of work if you prefer.

I am an Integrative counsellor trainer at Manchester University, where I teach on their Masters and Doctorate programmes. This keeps me informed about current practice and research and helps me to be a more effective therapist.

I am a qualified and experienced clinical supervisor offering supervision for counsellors & psychotherapists who are in training through to experienced therapists.

I now offer supervision through skype which is just like face to face supervision but with a number of advantages for the supervisee..

As someone who incorporates EFT into my work as a clinician I now offer supervision for those who are interested in getting supervision for both simultaneously.

I also offer non-mangerial supervision to staff in schools.

The EFT Gathering is an inspiring weekend for the European EFT tapping community plus whole day specialist workshops on Friday and Monday. Come and enjoy presentations, demonstrations, networking, tapping, sharing ideas and making new friends. There is always a magical, uplifting atmosphere of enthusiasm and a strong sense of community spirit whenever tappers get together. Started in 2009 by EFT Master Gwyneth Moss this is the fourth year of the original EFT Gathering.

This year we are in the fabulous Events Centre of the Royal York Hotel in the beautiful and spiritual city of York - a great place to bring the whole family with lots for them to do and see whilst you tap.
